Accounting Internships
Our accounting internship opportunities are open to current students and recent college graduates seeking real-world, hands-on experience. During your time at Lutz, you'll receive the same training, responsibility, and client interaction as a first-year staff member.
As interns, we don’t expect you to be experts; it’s up to us to help you succeed. We’ll teach you our tax and audit approach and how to use accounting software to put the information you've learned about in class into practice.
Dive deep with a tax or audit internship where you will experience public accounting in the thick of busy season! Our winter internship program starts in January, with flexible start and end dates depending on your schedule. These busy-season internships are offered at our Grand Island, Lincoln, and Omaha locations.
Another great option is our summer internship program, which will expose you to various specialties, including Tax, Audit, Client Advisory Services, and more. We offer our summer accounting internships in Omaha and Grand Island.

Healthcare Accounting Internships
Working alongside our niche Healthcare department, you’ll be exposed to consulting and accounting for a wide range of providers, from hospitals & healthcare entities to independent & private medical practices. These 9 to 12-month-long internships allow you the opportunity to dig in and be fully immersed in the dynamic world of healthcare accounting.
After comprehensive training, you will collaborate closely with our team to prepare monthly financial statements and cost reports, get a feel for our outsourced CFO duties, and much more.
We offer both full-time and part-time healthcare accounting internships.
