Mark Duren

Mark Duren, Managing Shareholder, began his career in 1985 joining Lutz in 1992. Rising through leadership roles from tax and audit department head to his current position in 2015, he developed expertise across all areas of accounting. As a longtime member of the firm’s board of directors and leadership committee, his vision has driven Lutz's growth into Nebraska's largest business solutions firm, consistently ranking among the nation's Top 100 firms while maintaining its reputation as a "Best Place to Work."

Leveraging his strategic mindset and futuristic focus, Mark guides both firm direction and client services, with a particular focus on the real estate and construction industries. He provides clients with comprehensive business consulting, governance and succession planning while overseeing Lutz's continued evolution. Mark values the variety in his work, finding fulfillment in both client success and team member advancement.

Mark lives in Bennington, NE, with his wife, Johna. Outside the office, he can be found boating, hunting, working out, and spending time with his four children and their growing families.
