Lutz, a Nebraska-based business solutions firm, was recently selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Lincoln. Created in 2013, this award recognizes local companies for their outstanding efforts in creating an enjoyable work environment that fosters personal and professional growth for their employees. This is the first year Lutz has received this award, ranking third in the medium-sized company category.
Lutz opened its Lincoln office in the fall of 2016 with just four local employees. Today, they have tripled their office space near the Railyard to house 40+ team members during tax season.
“Lutz remains committed to growth in Lincoln. Though we are a locally-owned firm, we have a network of services that business owners expect from a national organization. Investing in the community, providing top-notch client service, and building a culture that results in an engaged workforce have led to many of our successes, including this award. We are honored to be recognized as a ‘Best Place to Work’ and on a list next to so many reputable Lincoln organizations,” said Ryan Cook, Audit and Consulting Shareholder.
Tax Director Jonathan Patent said, “We want our employees to enjoy coming to the office, feel challenged, rewarded, and proud of where they work. We also want them to have time for their life outside of the office. Whether serving meals at People City Mission, tailgating together at a football game, or holding an impromptu ping-pong tournament, providing a productive, flexible, and fun work environment has been key to getting us where we are today.”
Winners were determined exclusively from the results of the Best Places to Work Survey. Employees ranked their level of satisfaction on a variety of factors, including workplace environment, leadership direction, culture, and management practices.
